Sabre 5000
The Sabre 5000 is an ion mobility spectrometer programmed to detect and identify over 40 chemical warfare agents, explosives, narcotics, and TIC/TIM threat substances in approximately 15 seconds. Two sample introduction modes are available: Vapor Mode for real-time monitoring of vapors, and Particle Mode for detection of condensed phase substances on swabs. The vendor claims a cold start time of 10 minutes. The unit weighs approximately 7 lbs, including the 4-hr lithium battery, and is outfitted with a 3.5 in. color TFT display.
