Biological products falling within the emergency response category are limited, as most require significant (hrs-days) incubation periods for the identification of threat materials. They typically meet one or more of the following criteria:
1. Generally less than 30 lbs.
2. Are capable of producing actionalbe results within an hour.
3. Have been ruggedized to some degree (not neccessarily full MIL-STD).
4. Are capable of identifying a specific threat or threat class commonly associated with emergency response-related scenarios (Anthrax, E. coli, Ricin, etc..)
