The Pilot is equipped with a 16-nanofiber sensor array card with each nanofiber providing a unique response to a chemical or chemical functioning group. The array enables selectivity by providing a unique multi-dimensional fingerprint for each chemical. The sensitivity of the Pilot for most chemicals is in the ppb or lower range.
