Modified Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide (mVHP®)

STERIS's mVHP was developed to decontaminate chemical warfare agents and the US Army ‘s Edgewood Chemical Biological Center has tested it to demonstrate its effectiveness in decontaminating these agents. mVHP is produced by vaporizing a solution of hydrogen peroxide, STERIS’s Vaprox®, and combining it with ammonia while controlling the temperature and humidity within an enclosed space, such as a room, a vehicle's interior or shelter/tent. As with VHP, the decontamination agent degrades to its non toxic byproducts during the aeration process.
