PINS3-CW

The PINS3-CW is a portable isotopic neutron spectroscopy (PINS) Chemical Identification System for identification of materials though opaque containers. The PINS3-CW uses a trans-SPEC-N high purity germanium platform and unlike earlier PINS products, the PINS3-CW does not require liquid nitrogen to operate. The PINS3-CW uses a portable neutron generator; no Cf-252 source is required. Applications include munitions (artillery, mortars, rockets, and land mines), containers (gas cylinders, storage tanks, bags, brief cases), and chemicals (chemical warheads, explosives)
