ECAM Enhanced Chemical Agent Monitor is a handheld instrument designed to detect, search for and locate chemical warfare agents (CWA) on personnel, equipment, vehicles and on the ground. ECAMâ„¢ originated from the Swiss CAM in the mid 80s. ECAM is one of several variants of AM which are now in service with more than 30 countries worldwide including U.S., UK, and 14 other NATO countries. CAM has been used by Allied Forces in Operation Desert Storm and by the UN, UNSCOM and OPCW.
