The Point Hydrocarbon Infrared gas detector is able to perform in the presence of silicone and other catalytic poisoning agents and operates in oxygen-free environments or background LEL levels. The concentration of the gas is measured by the difference in two channels (wavelengths), the reference and the measurement channels. One of the wave lengths is at the absorption wave length the other is outside of the absorption wave length.
