XCat
The XCat handheld detection system detects narcotics, homemade and high explosives, and gunshot residue. The XCat is ruggedized for field use, has an expandable detection library and uses a rechargeable Li-ion battery. Detection cards are used to introduce the sample to the instrument. Each analyte or group of analytes is detected with a dedicated card. The XCat is typically used by police to sample suspicious drugs and other substances from hands, vehicles, packages and surfaces.
