Terra Portable XRD/XRF
The Terra system is a rugged, portable field instrument which uses dual XRD and qualitative XRF technology for earthbound applications. Using a specifically developed direct excitation charge coupled device (CCD) “camera”, Terra is able to collect X-ray photon data for both X-ray diffraction and X-ray fluorescence simultaneously. Typical uses include: Rapid ID of dangerous hazardous materials, explosives, fusing materials & accelerants; non-destructive fingerprinting of drug formulations & precursors; and testing for presence and quantity of foreign or substitute ingredients.
