SBG-200 Wall-Mounted Gas Monitor

A semi-conductor is applied to a non-conductor between two electrodes. The system is heated to a point where the gas of interest will cause a change in the conductivity of the semi-conductor. As the concentration of the gas of interest increases, the resistance of the semi-conductor drops. A relay contact is provided to allow the SBG-200 to connect with a central alarm system or turn on emergency apparatus.

Electrochemical cells are vulnerable to organic solvents. Catalytic beads are poisoned by silicones, fluorides and chlorides. IR has little to no interferences, but cannot see hydrogen.
Start Up Time (From Cold Start To Sample Ready)
If powered off for a long time, the sensor oxidizes, it will take a full hour to warm up. If used regularly, it will warm up within seconds.
