While chemical detection technologies have a broad spectrum of application and deployment scenarios, several primary and unique use-cases have been identified. Emergency response products are typically person-portable or smaller, able to provide a specific identification within a few seconds, and have been ruggedized for outdoor use.
Gas analysis products are those for which the sole purpose is to identify chemical threats, leaks, or process monitoring of gaseous samples. Confined space monitors, LEL sensors, and many sensors fall within this category
Laboratory analysis products are those intended for use in a controlled, stable, indoor environment. They are typically not portable, have a large footprint, and provide the best data quality. These typically require operation by highly trained technical personnel and routine calibration and maintenance.
Water quality analysis products are currently listed under emergency response, with separation coming soon.
